Southwestern College celebrated Veterans Day with its annual Veterans Day Ceremony on Thursday, Nov. 7, 2019 with the theme of “Honoring our Own.” We honored student and employee veterans as well as John Jacobs, the Chula Vista Veteran of the year. Here’s who helped us represent each of our campus groups:
Students: Gracie Camacho, veteran, U.S. Marine Corps
Faculty: Carmen Nieves-Cardenas, veteran, U.S. Army
Classified Professionals: Edmund Guerrero, USMCR, retired
Administrators: Andre Harris, veteran, U.S. Navy
We were joined by members of Southwestern College’s choirs and chamber singers.
