It was an intimate and touching moment as a small group of members of the men’s and women’s basketball teams raced through the hallways of the new Wellness & Aquatics Complex to their brand new locker rooms and ‘The Den,” the new gym.
They were there to shoot their first baskets, first free-throws, first three-pointers and yes, the first air balls. But it was all smiles and selfies as the team, coaches and athletics staff toured the new facilities before the women’s team held their first practice. The men’s basketball team plays their first home game inside the new gym Dec. 19 at 6 p.m. against Palomar College.
