Through science, technology, engineering and mathematics courses and clubs like the Society of Women Engineers and the Math and Science Club, Southwestern College students are learning how to use 3D printers and create three-dimensional solid objects. Engineering major Giselle Romo has made Stormtroopers, a lightsaber, a Yoda pumpkin and a gray shark named “Mr. Jaws.”
