The Mayan Hall patio was taken over by orange cones and yellow tape set up by Health Services and Campus Police to take students on a golf cart driving course through the patio. First, the students breezed through the course with no impairments. Then, they were given “Drunk Buster” goggles to simulate driving under the influence and to give students a perspective of how dangerous it is to drive impaired.
Health Services and Campus Police hosted “Under the Influence” to educate the college community about the perils of driving under the influence and to teach students of its consequences. Sergeant Joe Bane gave sobriety check points and he, along with members of Health Services, talked to students about staying safe and about alternative methods of getting home.
