It's been a historic year for Southwestern College, and we've had many "likable" moments along the way on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram – 26,041 to be exact (as of Dec. 14). That's right, you folks liked 15,728 Facebook posts, 2,822 tweets and 7,491 Instagram photos throughout the year.

When Architecture Professor Diana de la Torre Arredondo was in the fourth grade, the recession hit her family so hard they had to move from San Diego to Tijuana where it was more affordable to live. Southwestern College has received AA ratings for the first sale of $140 million of its Proposition Z bonds. The ratings from Moody’s Investors Service and Standard and Poor’s highlight the strength of the local market, the diversity of Southwestern College’s taxpayers and faith in the district and its taxpayers to repay the bonds.
